Straight candy-red roots resist pithiness better than other long French types. Compared to French Breakfast, roots are shorter, wider, and show less white on the tips. Responds better to tight spacing and has improved top strength.
Most of the radish seed available in Australia at present is imported from overseas and requires mandatory fungicide treatment with chemicals such as Thiram. Our seed has been produced within Australia on certified Demeter Biodynamic farms and is free from any chemical treatments. Our thanks goes out to the farmers who make this possible.
NOTE: For longer, straighter roots, sow 15-20% more seed per row 1/2 to 1cm deeper, and do not irrigate unless absolutely necessary.
